The body is a glossy, see-through smoky brown, so light passing through it turns a gentle taupe. On top, a D-shaped ring in polished gold-tone metal wraps around the coil spring and works as the grip. Below it, long teeth curve down in rounded arches, giving the clip a deep, rounded profile from the front.

A Medium Claw Clip for a Neat French Twist

In the worn photos, the clip is fastened upright on a French twist in auburn-brown hair, the ring centered on the roll and facing back.
