Start with how much hair the clip has to hold. Fine hair: a medium for a full updo, a mini or a small for a half-up style. Medium hair: a medium or a large. Thick or long hair: a large or an XL. Very thick, curly or very long hair: an XL, or two clips. The size guide gives each size in inches.
A clip holds thick hair when it is big enough to close without forcing. Start with a large or an XL, and use two clips if your hair is also long or curly. If a clip only closes when you squeeze it, it is too small and it will pop open.
Fine hair usually does better with a smaller clip. A large clip has little to grip and slides down. Start with a small or a medium, and twist your hair a little tighter before you clip it.
If you can gather your hair at the back of your head and twist it once, a mini or small clip can hold it. On a bob, a half-up style with a mini clip is the easiest place to start.
Each product page gives the clip's size, from mini to XL, and the hair it suits. The size guide gives the length in inches behind each size.

When your order ships, you get an email with your tracking number and a link to follow your parcel. Keep that email: it is the quickest way to see where your order is. If you cannot find it, check your spam folder or write to us with your order number.
Orders ship from abroad. They are prepared in 1 to 3 business days, then arrive in 1 to 18 business days, with tracking. The details are in our shipping and delivery page.
Shipping to the US Mainland is free on orders of $50 or more. Under $50, it is $5.90. The cost is shown at checkout before you pay.
We ship to the US Mainland only: the 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, APO/FPO/DPO military addresses or outside the United States. Parcels ship to you from abroad.
Often, yes. A parcel can go several days without a new scan while it travels. If nothing has changed for more than a week, write to us with your order number and we will look into it.
Check your mailbox, your porch and with neighbors or your building's mail room first: carriers sometimes mark a parcel delivered a little early. If it has not turned up after two days, write to us with your order number.

You have 14 days from the day your order is delivered to ask for a return, then a further 14 days to post it back. The clip can be new or lightly used: trying it in your hair a few times is fine, as long as it comes back clean, undamaged and complete. Return postage is at your cost, unless the item arrived damaged, faulty or is not what you ordered. Write to us with your order number and we will send you the steps. The full terms are in our returns and refund page.
We refund your original payment method within 3 to 7 business days after your return has been received and checked. Your bank may then take a few days to show it.
We do not exchange directly. Return the clip for a refund and order the size you want.
Write to us with your order number and a photo. We will put it right, and we pay the return postage in that case.
Write to us as soon as you can. If your order has not shipped yet, we can change it or cancel it. Once it has shipped, it follows the returns process.
Write to us straight away with your order number and the right address. We can correct it as long as the order has not shipped.

Gather your hair at the back of your head and twist it upward until it sits snug against your scalp. Open the clip and close it over the twist so the teeth reach your scalp on both sides. The guides in our journal show it step by step.
Three things usually help. Twist tighter, so the clip sits against your head. Catch some of the hair under the twist with the teeth. And check the size: a clip that is too big slides on fine hair, and one that is too small pops open on thick hair.
A flat claw clip sits closer to the head, which is more comfortable against a headrest or a sofa. Comfort is not protection: no clip is made to protect you in an accident. If that worries you, take your clip out before you drive.

It depends on the clip. The material is given in the details of each product page. Our materials and care page explains how acetate, plastic and metal differ.
Wipe it with a soft, damp cloth and dry it. Keep it away from heat, and store it closed, where it will not be crushed at the bottom of a bag.
We would not. Lying on a clip presses it into your head, and the weight of your head can bend or crack the teeth. Take it out before bed and keep it closed somewhere safe.

Yes. Our ready-made claw clip sets hold 2 to 10 clips, and each set says which hair it suits.
You are not buying a bag of identical clips. Each clip here is sold by size and filed by hair type, so you buy the one that fits.
The payment methods available to you are shown at checkout, before you pay.
